Definition:Pseudobulbar affect (PBA), or emotinal incontinence , is a type of emotinal disturbance characterized by uncontrollable episodes of crying and/or laughing,or other emotinal displays.
A treatment is Dextromethorphan/quinidine. Its a drug that affects the signals in the brain that trigger the cough reflex. It is generally used as a cough suppressant, although it can sometimes be used, medicinally, as a pain reliever, and is alo used as a recreatinal drug.
